Air quality assessment of Jaipur city Rajasthan after the COVID-19 lockdown

In the whole world, most of air polluted cities were normalized during COVID-19 lockdown but after lockdown, pollution is continuously increasing day by day. present study, we assessed quality at selected sites Jaipur city from October 2020 to February 2021 quantify enhancement in pollution. The obtained data was processed using index (AQI), principal component analysis (PCA) and pearson correlation matric (PCM). also compared with National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Values particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5) found beyond limits NAAQS (100 µg/m3, 60 µg/m3) while values gaseous pollutant such as SO2, NO2, CO below (80 80 4.0 mg/m3). Based on AQI, site 1 (114.80) 2 (110.48) severely 3 (70.47) moderately polluted. PCA, highest loading factor declared PM10 lowest SO2. study concludes that adopting control measures periodical transport can be minimised.
